GENERAL
RAINOUT CANCELLATION PROCEDURE
PLEASE do not call
PPCBA officers or division directors about possible weather cancellations!
 |
Every attempt
will be made to determine the status of fields by 3:30 on game days. |
 |
If PPCBA is
advised that fields are not available, a PPCBA officer will first send an
e-mail to the coaches' contact list. |
 |
PPCBA will attempt
to post cancellation information on web site. |
 |
PPCBA will leave
a message on the League phone number recording (386-8828). This number has
limited incoming call capacity. |
LATE
DECISION RAINOUTS AND OTHER
GAME
CANCELLATIONS BY TEAMS PROCEDURE
It
is the coach’s responsibility to call the game before the game
starts. If a game needs to be canceled:
 | Contact
other coach. |
 |
Home team coach must then call Judy Barton, the umpire coordinator, at
591-2706 to advise game is canceled. If the
umpire has already shown (even if weather is the reason for cancellation), there will be a $10 show-up
fee per umpire. The umpire coordinator will advise PPCBA's treasurer if
scheduled teams are a no-show, and they will be billed accordingly. |
 |
In the case of
games scheduled at Mountainview, contact Mike at 291-1495 or Tony at
338-8882 (these are both cell phones). |
 |
Failure to cancel
games within 24 hours of scheduled game times for nonweather-related reasons
may result in teams being charged drag/line costs at Mountainview. Be aware
PPCBA will be charged field rental costs at El Pomar whether a game is
played or not unless El Pomar has decided conditions do not allow play. |
 |
Contact
team members. |
 | E-mail
or call the Division Director. E-mail addresses and phone numbers are both
listed on the contact list and the e-mail addresses on the website. If the
team's director cannot use the freed fields, he will advise other division
directors by e-mail of the availability for make-ups. Each team is
responsible for obtaining the date and time for rescheduled games from the
division director, who will attempt to post a revised schedule as soon as
possible. |
